The study made the statistical analysis nad the changes in the number of Myanmar residents in Japan by status of residence and the factors behind these changes between 2014 and December 2021. Next, it considered from the interviewees' survey what kind of status of residence at the arrival time had after 2011 and how they entered Japan. In addition, the characteristics of the Myanmar community in Japan after the 2021 coup d'état, mainly the Myanmar 'Gen Z' and the characteristics of the movement were analysed based on a questionnaire survey using Google Forms and participatory observation.
