This paper will provide an overview of Myanmar's political reforms since the inauguration of the new government and examine how they are perceived by the US, EU, China, Japan and other countries. Next, we will examine the reforms and the actual situation in the economic field. Finally, I will attempt to analyze the major problems faced by the Myanmar government as it pursues political and economic reforms.
