Summary

International Constructivism is an art movement born from the acceptance and transformation of Russian Constructivism by the Western avant-garde between the two World Wars. This book analyzes the theoretical background of International Constructivism, which flourished in Germany and Central Europe, and attempts to reconsider its significance today in light of the differences in the social background of each country. In addition to the historical background, the book discusses in detail through the analysis of works of art, design, photography, and film. He pointed out that reexamining the relationship between society and art is an important theme in the study of design.
