Summary

This research is an attempt of a video experiment pursuing stereoscopic vision itself. Device developer Kazuhiro Goto is exploring a new type of stereoscopic image expression that does not use a so-called 3D camera as one volume of experimental image expression. Here, in the installation work "SHADOWLAND", binocular parallax was generated by giving parallax and time difference due to the movement of the viewpoint, and stereoscopic viewing was performed. This experimental video was awarded at Ars Electronica in 2014 and received the Best Presentation Award from the Japan Design Society.
