We referred to Piaget's Developmental Psychology for the development and classification of infant play, and then considered guidelines for the development of nursing toys for visually impaired children. When considering a nursing toy for the purpose of learning the activities of daily living of a visually impaired child, the goal is to learn the movements. However, when considering the function as a toy, the process for learning will need to be playful.
